Best Canadian Mid-Century Furniture Stores With Free Shipping

We couldn’t believe it either!

We tracked down some stores with amazing mid-century furniture that actually have free shipping in Canada. Yes, you read that right. Free delivery in the Great White North.

Because while that seems to be pretty much the standard south of the 49th parallel, it often seems to be an easter egg up here… that takes a little too long to find.

First up, Wazo, a Canadian Furniture company obsessed with solid wood furniture.

Not only do they have brick-and-mortar stores in Toronto and Montreal, they offer free shipping Canada-wide, with all orders shipped within 3 business days.

How often do you hear furniture stores say they’ll deliver in 3 days? Especially in Canada?

And for our US friends, Wazo Furniture also delivers to many places in the States.

Their website has wonderful photos and a very straightforward filtering features, but for those hesitant to shop for furniture online, you can book a video chat.

Now that’s a Zoom we all can be enthusiastic about.

Oh, and did we mention they also offer Air Miles?

Our second fab find is Hoft Home, whose Danish design history has led to a gorgeous nature-inspired collection of furniture and Many of their high-quality furnishings would be equally at home in a rustic setting.

The reason they’re second is that you have to spend $100 to get the free shipping. However, on a recent lustful look through their beautiful website, we couldn’t actually find anything under a hundred bucks. So you’ll be fine!

They also promise quick delivery, with shipped furniture arriving to your doorstep in 2-10 business days.

But enough of the speedy delivery chit chat. Here are our current faves from both Hoft Home and Wazo Furniture.

Whoops, just had a Mr.McFeely flashback, but have emerged from a Mr. Rogers internet rabbit hole relatively unscathed.

First up, we’re enchanted with this sofa. It’s called the Audrey and it is fabulous. While some purests may think the millenial pink doesn’t qualify as mid-century, we think with this sillouhette you can’t go wrong. Those legs! That color!

(Feeling a little Tom Wolfish here but there is no white suit being worn at the home office today). This pink velvet sofa is only $1349… CANADIAN.

The Zola dining chair from Hoft Home will bring a Mad Men-esque resonance to dinner. Old fashioned, anyone? Constructed from solid Malaysian Oak, this high-quality dining room addition rates five stars from happy customers on the Hoft website.

Feel the Bern! No, we’re not talking the about the beloved Vermont senator, even though you could argue that mid-century is his era. Bern is the name of this kidney-shaped acacia wood coffee table.

If you had the budget for only one item, this little number conveys enough mid-century modern for an entire room.

Finally, picture this Sputnik-inspired pendant orbiting the dining table in your home. Or stairwell. Or wherever. And not actually orbiting. But you get what we mean.

The Corun ceiling lamp’s aged patina and oversized bulbs bring industrial flair to your mid-century modern home.

Searching high and low for a mid-century planter? We found one that would be right at home Frank Sinatra’s crash pad in Palm Springs. Check out in our chic planter blog.

Can you vouch that Hoft Home is legit? I would love to buy some dining chairs from them but can’t find a single review online, which makes me hesitant to place an order.

I got the worst service from this company. There were big scratches on my counter stool and since november 11th they haven’t sent a replacement yet. No one answers the phone. No one answer the email adress on their contact page. When I finaly got one of their employee email’s adress, at first they answered but then they ghosted me after telling me I would be receiving a tracking number on december 16th.

Update: they have acknowledge their mistake and they sent me a replacement with free Express shipping. They even refunded me 50$ for the trouble it caused, without me needing to ask anything. This makes me believe it was maybe a serie of bad luck and I will be willing to give them another try in the future!
